Understanding and Identifying the High Theoretical Motivator

Understanding and being able to identify a person’s DISC Behavioral Style is important but only a piece of the puzzle. It is important to be able to understand a person’s motivators as well because they are what drives a person and fuels their actions. Over the next six weeks we will go over the six different motivators and how to identify them in others.

Listen For References To:
- Reading on a variety of topics, usually non-fiction
- Wide variety of interests
- Life-long learning games like Scrabble and Jeopardy
- Research, seminars, history
Passions:
- To discover truth and knowledge
- Solving problems
- Objectivity in all areas
Overextensions:
- May put pursuit of knowledge above their own health and safety and ignore practical matters
Stressors:
- Inability to learn
- Emotionally subjective experiences with no rational justification
When Questioned:
- May give more information than needed, with a focus on the research available
